One day in 2016, I went to this (lazy go to school in every march) market called (α)mart.
I bought some snacks to occampany me doing my bunch of homework.
I put all the stuff on
the cashier’s desk and got ready to pay.
"It's 22k. Do you
have a membership card? Do you want to
top up your phone?"
"No, i don't. Thanks"
I replied.
I had just realized
that I didn’t have enough cash.
The cashier seemed to recognize
that I had an issue with the lack of money.
"Just a
minute" I said, while opening my bag and trying to look for retceh that
might be laying over somewhere.
But I remembered clearly
how I put all the coins out when I cleaned it up yesterday.
While pretending that I
was looking for money, all the alternatives those were running on my mind just
if I couldn't find rupiah (which was nearly impossible that I would find any,
hahah) are:
1. I would try to
borrow money from person behind me
2. I would cancel some
of my orders
3. I would say
"hmm I have been donating many coins before, don't you think that now I am
the one who needs for donation?"
"It's okay"
said the cashier while giving me the plastic bag.
I was like seriously?
In order to avoid any
drama like “heheh no, you don't need to do it tho, just hold on, I’m sure I’ll
find smth here”
I just directly said thank you and left the market and never came to that place till I knew that cashier had been replaced.
